The Hulston Mill Civil War Days happen every year for the past eight years in the Hulston Mill Park in Greenfield, MO. The Hulston Mill Civil War Days take place in early summer and those who want to participate must get in touch with the event’s coordinators. 

The Battle of Hartville celebration is an important re-enactment
If there is one re-enactment nobody should miss, then that's the Battle of Hartville Reenactment in Missouri. The event takes place in April at the Steele Mansion and the whole area was redesigned to showcase life just as it was back in 1860. 

Several engaging events take place and students can attend a school day where life as a soldier can be experienced. All the celebrations happen during the weekend so anyone could be able to attend.

2013 marks 150 years since the Civil War and special celebrations and re-enactments take place almost everywhere. The Battle of Marshall will be re-enacted in the city of Marshall, MO and all preparations are on their way.

If you want to attend a re-enactment event in Missouri during summer, you should consider The Battle of Lone Jack. This important re-enactment will take place during mid-August, and many fun events will take place at the time.

The main celebration will last for 2 hours and a candlelight tour is also planned. Tourists can learn more about the history of the battle as a lecture will be held.

Simmons' Stable was built more than 100 years ago in 1887 and is one of the oldest boarding houses in the US. If you love horses, you may have fun taking part in the recognition of the house and its history, set to take place in September.

There will be many events happening such as live music demonstrations, a showcase of the horses and of course, much more.

An expedition reenactment for everyone 
Lewis and Clark Heritage Days event is held every year in May and is located in Historic Saint Charles, Missouri. This re-enactment has been taking place since 1979 and everyone visiting the area can be a part of the celebration.

Many cool events happen during the weekend and parades, musket and cannon demonstrations, food and live music dating from that period will be enjoyed by visitors. The day ends with a party and the expedition boats can be seen on display.

Experience life as a Native American 
The Osage River Mountain is a popular re-enactment event attended by many tourists who want to learn more about the life of the Native Americans. The event features people dressed in clothing worn during the pre-1840 era, and tents as well as small camps will be set up.

Visitors get to experience life just as it was back then, and many fire starting competitions, cooking demonstrations and parades are held for the duration of the event.

The Fight for Texas County is a Civil War reenactment that takes place in October in Houston, Missouri. During that weekend the location is filled with celebratory events such as mock battles, a period medical demonstration, and a ball during the evening on Saturday night.

The dance starts at 7 pm and is the main event of the evening where people can wear traditional era clothes and listen to music dating from the period.
